The postponed undergraduate exams will start from February 25 and will continue till April 8. BA fifth semester exams will continue till April 8.
Lucknow University has released the semester exam datasheets. The undergraduate examination of Lucknow University (LU) was earlier postponed due to the rise in COVID and its variant Omicron cases. The semester exams are now set to begin on February 25.
On Tuesday, the varsity released the new exam schedule for the third and fifth semesters of undergraduate courses. The varsity announced on Twitter and also uploaded the date sheet. Students can also check the exam schedule on the University website; i.e. lkouniv.ac.in.
As per the notification, released by the Controller of examinations, Vidyanand Tripathi the postponed undergraduate exams will start from February 25 and will continue till April 8. BA fifth semester exams will continue till April 8, he said. At the same time, the BA semester three examinations will continue till March 28. BCom examinations will continue till March 14 while BSc exams till April 2. There is no change in the centres, he added.
The examination will be conducted for the third semester from 9 am to 12 pm and for the fifth semester it will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The semester exams were earlier postponed after as many as 50 students tested positive for COVID-19. Out of 50 students, 32 are from the Habibullah Boys' hostel, 10 from Mahmudabad Boys' hostel and eight from Lal Bahadur Shastri Boys' hostel. An MSc student, residing in the Nivedita Girls’ hostel, had also tested positive for COVID. After this, the University conducted the test of all the students residing in the hostel to ensure the virus is not spread further.
