UNOM Semester Exams 2022: The University of Madras has announced that the Madras University Semester Exam 2022 will begin on June 15, 2022. The April end-semester exams that were earlier scheduled to begin on June 2, 2022, have now been postponed and will begin on June 15, 2022. The decision to postpone the exam has been taken considering the requests made by the affiliated colleges, seeking more time to complete the syllabus for the Madras University Exam 2022.
The official notice stated, “The Regular April 2022 theory examinations scheduled to be commenced from June 2, 2022, has been postponed and rescheduled to commence from June 15, 2022, onwards and the same may be displayed in the college notice board for the benefit of the students.”
Earlier, several students had raised their concerns over incomplete syllabus due to the pandemic-induced extended lockdowns and demanded the postponement of exams. They also said that the classes were disrupted during the academic year. The Madras University Semester Exams 2022 will now be conducted as per the revised schedule. Students are advised to check the notice board of their respective colleges to get the complete schedule.
The announcement of the Madras University Exam 2022 postponement has brought major relief for the students of the Arts and Science Colleges functioning under the varsity. With the postponement of exam, student will now get additional 10 days to prepare for the exam.
Meanwhile, the University in another official notification announced that the "entrance test for MSc Biochemistry Programme, for both regular and self-supportive programmes, will be held on June 29. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held in a single session, for an hour, from 10.30 am to 11.30 am.
