The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has called for participation and suggestions from students, parents, principals, teachers, administrators, and public representatives for its upcoming Five Year Master Plan. As per the Section 107 of the Maharashtra Public University Act, 2016, the SPPU is responsible for preparing the master plan for the years 2024-25 to 2029-30.

Earlier, the University had announced that it has awarded five different types of scholarships wort a total of INR 4.95 crore to as many as 7,402 students. As per the details shared by SPPU, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Economic Assistance Scheme, Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Financially Weak Students Help Scheme, Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scholarship Scheme, Mahatma Jotirao Phule Meritorious Student Scholarship Scheme and Swami Vivekananda Student Assistance are the various schemes which students can avail of.
A total of 14,847 applications were submitted for the five scholarships, and after careful review, 4,711 undergraduate students and 2,691 postgraduate students were selected for the academic year 2022–2023 in each category.
