COVID-19 in IIT Madras, 12 people test positive
Earlier, Tamil Nadu reported a total of 31 fresh COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, i.e. April 20, 2022. The surge made the state's Health Secretary urge people to wear masks and take coronavirus precautions seriously.
#CovidIsNotOver: Twelve people have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, according to the officials of the institute. Several parts of the country including the national capital are witnessing a sudden spike in the number of novel coronavirus cases.

IIT Madras Virtual Industry Conclave 2022
Recently, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras organized the Industry Conclave 2022 on April 16 and April 17, 2022. The conclave was organized via virtual mode to showcase the cutting-edge research and innovations of the institute to the government, industry and corporate firms. The event was conducted online considering the ongoing pandemic situation. A virtual space dedicated to exhibiting research projects, start-ups and projects from the Institute’s Center for Innovation (CFI) and other projects was also created for the occasion.
COVID-19 Spike in Delhi
Delhi is also among certain states that are witnessing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. The majority of the case are emerging from schools. The increasing number of COVID cases are rising tensions among parents. While parents are demanding school closure, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has stated that schools will not be closed all over again in the National Capital.
