The CBSE released the notice on October 20, 2022, mentioning that the CTET 2022 exam will be conducted in December 2022 or January 2023. The exact exam date will be released later. CTET 2022 registration starts on October 31, 2022. The CTET 2022 application fee will be INR 1,000 for only one paper and INR 1,200 for both papers.

CTET 2022 application process starts on October 31, 2022. The last date to apply online for CTET 2022 exam is November 24, 2022. The fee can be paid up to November 25, 2022.

How to fill CTET Application Form 2022?

Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps in order to register for the CTET exam.

First Step: Register for CTET 2022 Exam

For registration, visit the official website at ctet.nic.in and click on the link available for the application form. 

Now, click on the Apply button under the New Candidate Registration header. 

Read and download the information brochure and click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page.

Click on "Click Here to Proceed". 

CTET 2022 registration form will now open on the screen. 

In the form, candidates need to fill in the below-mentioned details. 
Name 

  • Mother's name
  • Father's name
  • Identity type 
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Identification number
  • Contact details
  • Choose Password
  • After providing all the information, the registration form is filled out. 
  • Verify all the details and click on the "Final Submit" button. 
  • Note down the system-generated application number and retain it for future use.

Second Step: Fill CTET Online Form 2022

To proceed towards filling the application form, click on the Complete Application Form button and fill in all the remaining details in the online form. Information that candidates need to provide in their application form for the CTET exam needs to be the same as mentioned by them in their Class 10 board exam.

After filling all the details, enter the security pin displayed on the screen and click on the Submit button. Verify all details entered carefully and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page. Thereafter, click on the Final Submit button.

About CTET 2022

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a national-level eligibility exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CTET exam is generally held twice a year for determining the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in Central Government School such as KVS, NVS, etc. The CBSE will organise the CTET 2022 exam online in the computer-based test (CBT) mode.

    CBSE CTET 2022: Applicability

    As mentioned in CTET 2022 Information Bulletin:

    (i) The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT‟s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
    (ii) CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
    (iii) Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
    (iv) According to CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, prescribing the minimum qualifications for teachers to teach various subjects in Classes I to VIII in the schools Affiliated to CBSE stands amended to that extent and it shall be mandatory that the teachers appointed hereinafter i.e. 6th March 2012 to teach classes I to VIII in the Schools affiliated to the CBSE shall qualify/pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by the appropriate Central/ State Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for this purpose

    CBSE CTET 2022: Qualifying Marks and Award of CTET Certificate

    As per NCTE Notification, a person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.
    (a) School managements (Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST,OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
    (b) Should give weightage to the CTET scores in the recruitment process however, qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
