The last date for submission of online fee hike proposals for the session is hereby extended up to July 8, 2022. However, it must be noted that there will be no further extension thereafter.

The education department of the government of Delhi has extended the last date for submission of online fee hike proposals for the session 2022-23. Now the last date to submit online fee hike proposals is now July 8.

The department has invited the recognised schools for the academic session 2022-23 from private unaided running on land allotted by DDA or any other government, the condition agencies with to seek prior approval of the Director (Education) before any increase in fees.

The education department has also received many representations from Private Unaided, including the Action Committee for an extension of the above date.

Schools not allowed to hike fee without approval

In view of the above, the last date for submission of online fee hike proposals for the session is hereby extended up to July 8, 2022. However, it must be noted that there will be no further extension thereafter.

Furthermore, all schools operating on land allotted by DDA or any government agency are once again strictly directed not to raise any fees without obtaining prior approval from the Director of Education.

Private schools operating on government land have been barred by the department from hiking fees without its clearance. There are over 400 such schools in Delhi. The DoE has also directed all institutes looking to hike fees for the 2022-23 session to submit a proposal to it first.

A circular issued earlier by DoE director Himanshu Gupta stated, "All pending fee hike proposals submitted by private unaided recognised schools running on land allotted by DDA or other land-owning agencies for the 2020-21 session have become infructuous... such schools can seek prior approval from the director before any increase and may submit their fee hike proposals."
