Delhi Government School Admissions 2022: The government of Delhi on May 5, 2022, released a set of guidelines for admission against vacant seats of preprimary and primary classes in its schools for the academic session 2022-23.
Admission only on first-come, first-served basis
Stating clearly that no special preference will be given to any student, the government has directed the authority to give admission to children only on “first-come, first-served basis”.
Admission can’t be denied to divyang, orphan, migrant or homeless children
The government further directed that no school can deny admission to any divyang, orphan, migrant or homeless due to the non-availability of essential documents. It also stated that if any student placed under long absence approaches schools, s/he must not be denied admission as well.
The official notice released by the Directorate of Education (DoE) reads, “Students will be admitted in classes 2 to 5 on a first-come, first-served basis from May 11. Admission will not be denied to any divyang, orphan, migrant or homeless due to non-availability of essential documents.”
It further said, “If a student placed under long absence during previous sessions approaches school for readmission, he or she should not be denied admission.”
KVS Admissions 2022 Guidelines Revised
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has revised the admission guidelines for admissions into the Kendriya Vidyalayas. Parents and guardians can check KVS revised guidelines for Classes 1 to 12 on the official website, i.e. kvsangathan.nic.in. The minimum age limit for KVS Class 1 admissions is 6 years old as of March 31 of that particular academic year. The child should not be more than 8 years old on March 31. KVS admissions 2022-23 revised guidelines state, "Child born on April 1 should also be considered."
The fresh guidelines released by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan also informed that Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has discontinued the MPs' discretionary quota in recommending the admission of students to Kendriya Vidyalayas.
