School hub in Delhi: The National Capital is all set to get the country's most advanced government school hub, according to the announcement made by the Delhi government. Spread over 11.63 acres, the world-class school will facilitate the children living in and around Kadipur. The hub will include all the world-class facilities related to sports along with quality education for children, an official statement informed.
The hub’s infrastructure will be designed keeping in mind the overall development of the children, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said. The minister further added that this school building will be different from the normal schools and the entire school premises would be involved in the learning process of the children.
The official statement said the school would advance sports along with learning to provide holistic education to students. The step taken by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led government is to make Delhi's education system world-class by building a school that will be fully equipped with all modern facilities.
Delhi government in its statement said, “This school hub, designed keeping in mind the specialization of STEM and Humanities, will have separate building blocks for both the specialisations. A magnificent Olympic size swimming pool complex will also be built in the school hub.”
The official statement informed that the school will comprise of one auditorium with a capacity of 1,000 people. Along with 240 classrooms, 13 labs equipped with all modern technologies and resources will be set up in which 8 labs will be for STEM specialized and 5 labs for Humanities Specialized School. The school premises will have a World-class swimming pool for future Olympians. Four libraries will also be prepared here for primary and senior secondary classes.
The school will have an Olympic size swimming pool complex, in which heating and cooling facilities will be present. The length of the swimming pool will be 50 meters and the width will be 25 meters to allow maximum children to practice swimming at the same time, the notice said.
