The final CEED score is determined by giving 25% weightage to a candidate’s score in Part A and 75% weightage to an aspirant’s CEED Part B score. 

The cutoff for Part A exam is determined by a formula. The formula to calculate CEED cutoff is mentioned below:

δ is the cutoff marks for shortlisted candidates in the General Category

μ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by ALL the candidates in Part-A of CEED 2022

The formula to determine CEED shortlisting criteria is as follows:  µ (σ 2) = δ, where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of CEED 2022. The µ and σ will be rounded off after the first decimal place. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfill a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be:

• 0.9???? for OBC-NCL
• 0.9???? for EWS
• 0.5???? for SC/ST
• 0.5???? for PwD

The marking scheme for CEED 2022 varies for Part A and Part B of the design exam. There is negative marking in Part A; however, there is no negative marking for Part B. 

The final answer key for Part A will be released on January 30, 2023. Note that the keys mentioned in the final key can't be challenged any further and will be considered the correct answers.

The CEED 2023 answer key for Part A will contain the following information:

• Section-wise answer keys
• The CEED 2023 Part A has three sections - SECTION – I (NAT), SECTION – II (MSQ), and SECTION – III (MCQ)
• The question number and corresponding key range

The exam conducting body, IIT Bombay will share the information furnished by the candidate at the time of CEED 2023 registration with the participating institute. However, it will not provide information related to eligibility criteria for postgraduate admission to CEED participating institutes. 

There are seven participating colleges for CEED 2023. The participating institutes of CEED 2023 offer more than 210 M.Des seats. Note that unlike UCEED, where IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Admission Process for the participating institutes, nothing of the sort happens with CEED participating institutes.

The national-level exam was conducted CEED exam in 24 cities across India. The exam date was held on January 22, 2023 (from 9 am to 12 noon).

No, answer keys for the subjective-based Part B will not be released, as there are no mode solutions.

CEED 2023 official answer keys will have answers to all the questions asked in Part A of the question paper.  

The candidate should have passed a degree, diploma, or postgraduate program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10 2).

Or,

Candidates must be appearing for the final exam of such a program by July 2023

Or,

Candidates must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10 5) level by July 2023. 

CEED exam 2023 commenced at 9:00 am and concluded at 12:00 pm today. The exam was held in two parts- Part A and Part B. Part A was in CBT mode while Part B was held in pen and paper mode. 

• All questions of CEED Part-A and -B will be displayed on a computer. While candidates have to enter the answers for Part-A in the computer, the answers for Part-B have to be written in the provided answer booklet.
• To answer each question asked in NAT section of CEED Part-A, candidates need to use a virtual keyboard. No choices for correct answer are shown in this section.
• Each MSQ contains four choices, out of which one or more answers are correct
• Each MCQ contains four choices, out of which only one answer is correct
• Scribble pads will be provided by invigilator for rough work for Part-A of the exam. The pads have to be returned after the exam is over.
• Each question in Part-B of CEED exam is mandatory
• In Part-B, candidates are allowed to use items such as colour pencils, crayons and sketch pens unless otherwise specified in a question

The Part B question paper of CEED exam will only be evaluated if the candidate qualified Part A.

CEED exam is conducted to provide admission to M.Des and Ph.D. courses offered by participating institutes. The M.Des program is available at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. Meanwhile, the Ph.D. course is available at several IITs and design schools.

 CEED exam 2023 is being conducted by IIT Bombay. 

• CEED Exam: The design entrance exam is being conducted on January 22, 2023. The CEED question paper consists of two parts -  Part-A conducted for the first hour and Part B in the next two hours.  
• CEED Answer Key: The CEED answer key will be released only for Part-A of the exam. Candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer key within the given deadline. The CEED final answer key will be declared before the declaration of exam results. 
• CEED Result: IIT Bombay will declare CEED results on March 7, 2023. Candidates can check their results by providing details such as their registered email address and password. 

•  Arrive at the exam center on time.
• Document checklist - Bring with you the admit card and a photo ID proof.
• Don't carry non-essential stuff with you, as exam officials may not arrange for a baggage counter.
• Maintain exam decorum, including following instructions given by the invigilator, wearing a decent dress, and not adopting unfair means like cheating.
• Don't carry electronic gadgets, written material, or any illegal items inside the exam hall
• Follow COVID guidelines, like maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, and carrying a hand sanitizer.

• On successful log-in, the CEED 2023 admit card will be displayed on screen
• Download and take a coloured print of the admit card

Check that the CEED 2023 admit card does not have any errors. In case of any discrepancy, you need to get in touch with CEED authorities immediately and get it resolved.

The CEED paper will be a Design Aptitude Test. 
It will test the visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity of candidates. 
The skills test will include:

• Design
• Drawing
• Writing

• Computer-based.
• Offline-based part.
• Answers have to be entered in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. 
• Candidates will be required to tick the appropriate box on the computer screen to indicate that you have answered the question.

There are objective-type questions mainly of following three types:

• Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
• Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
• Multiple Select Question (MSQ)
• Subjective-type questions.
