DJ Academy of Design invites applications for UG, PG courses

DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, will soon announce the dates for the DJAD Entrance Exam for Design 2023 (DEED 2023). 

DJ Academy of Design (DJAD), Coimbatore, has invited applications for four-year BDes and two-year MDes programmes. The academy offers BDes and MDes in industrial design, communication design, user experience design, animation and film-making. 

Admission to undergraduate programme is offered to students based on the scores obtained by them in Class 12 exams (or equivalent) and on their performance in the DJAD entrance exam on design (DEED 2023) and in the personal interview conducted by DJAD Coimbatore. 

Admission to postgraduate programme is offered to students based on the scores obtained in their undergraduate examination and on their performance in the DEED 2023 and in the personal interview. In the DEED 2023 and in personal interview, the design aptitude of applicants will be evaluated along with their skills in sketching, visualisation, creativity, sense of understanding and solving problems. 

Eligibility Criteria for BDes  

• Candidates should have passed 12th standard or its equivalent from any stream from any recognised State Board or Central Board like CBSE,ICSE etc. with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates should have passed a three year diploma with 50% aggregate marks (after 10th Std) from any stream from an institution recognised by AICTE/State Govt.
• Those who are appearing/appeared for these qualifying examinations before July of the year of admission to BDes can also apply. Age of the candidate should not be more than 22 years as on 31st July of the year of applying. 

Eligibility Criteria for MDes 

The candidate must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications to be considered eligible for admission:  

• Undergraduate programme of minimum three years duration in any specialisation with minimum 50% aggregate marks, after 10th, 2 system, from any university or institute recognised by law in india. 
  Condition: Applicant must have passed/ have appeared for / be appearing for the Bachelor degree examinations before July of the year of admission 
• Full-time Diploma of minimum four years duration in design/fine arts /applied arts/architecture with minimum 50% aggregate marks, After 10th, 2 system, from any university or institute recognised by law in india. 
  Condition: Applicants must have passed/have appeared for / be appearing for the diploma examinations before July of the year of admission. 

Application procedure 

• Go to www.djad.in website and register on admissions portal. 
• After registration, open the online application form; fill it up, pay the application fee and submit the application online 
• The receipt of your application will be sent to your registered e-mail ID. 
• Upload the portfolio of your work on DJAD admission portal. 
• Information on DEED 23 and personal interview will reach the eligible candidates via email / SMS.
