The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will commence the NIFT 2021 counselling round 2 from tomorrow (August 13) in online mode. Candidates who have registered themselves can take part in the NIFT counselling round 2.
The NIFT Entrance Exam counselling (round 1) for all courses was held from July 14-29. As part of the counselling process, all candidates who have cleared the NIFT Entrance Exam need to register themselves in online mode on the official website of the exam. The NIFT 2021 counselling registration for round 2 was held from August 3-6.Thereafter, candidates need to take part in various counselling rounds in order to block their seats for admission at colleges accepting NIFT scores.
NIFT conducts multiple counselling rounds for admission to the 17 NIFT campuses. The official NIFT website informs: “The NIFT Head Office will coordinate with all campuses and the admission process will take place simultaneously on all campuses of NIFT.”
Every year, a centralised counselling process is conducted for NIFT admissions. However, this year, the entire NIFT counselling process is being conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The final NIFT result 2021 was declared on May 27 (BFTech) and June 2 (MDes, MFM and MFTech) and June 10 (BDes).
If candidates take admission once and then withdraw it, they will not be considered to participate in the subsequent rounds of NIFT counselling. Also, if candidates who have taken the admission want to cancel the allocated seat then they can request a refund of the fee. They can submit the withdrawal and refund request in online mode only on the official portal. Any request regarding withdrawal of admission and fee refund will not be entertained through offline mode.
