NIFT 2022 exam being conducted today in online, remote-proctored mode; answer key release date

Given the pandemic situation, the exam this year has been conducted in remote-proctored mode. Mock tests were held from February 1-4.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is conducting the national-level design entrance exam on February 6, 2022. The CAT written test is conducted from 10 am - 1 pm, while the GAT written test is held from 2.30 - 4.30 pm. Candidates seeking admission to B.Des and M.Des need to appear in both the CAT and GAT written tests.

Those seeking admission to B.FTech, M.F.Tech., and MFM only needs to take the GAT Test. Exam officials have released detailed guidelines for the online, remote-exam, including system requirements.

The NIFT 2022 admit cards were available from January 29 onward. The scores of NIFT 2022 will be used for admission to B.Des, M.Des, B.FTech, M.F.Tech., and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

NIFT 2022 selection process

B.Des applicants will be shortlisted for a Situation Test (B.Des) based on their GAT and CAT written tests. Meanwhile, M.Des candidates who qualify in the GAT and CAT tests will have to appear in a Group Discussion (GD)/ Personal Interview (PI).

MFM and M.F.Tech applicants will be shortlisted for GD/PI based on GAT scores.

Release of NIFT 2022 answer key for GAT

Exam officials will release the answer key for the GAT written test tentatively in the 2nd week of February. The answer key will contain the answers to questions asked in the written test and can be used by candidates to calculate probable scores. 

There will also be allowed to file objections against the answer key.

Declaration of NIFT 2022 Results 

The results of the entrance exam will be declared around Mid-March and can be checked online at the official website of the institute - niftadmissions.in. To check their results, the candidate will have to click on the result link, and then enter log-in details like roll number, application number, and date of birth.
