Appearing in the mock tests are mandatory for candidates who have applied for the NIFT 2022 exam, which will be conducted in online-proctored mode on February 6.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released a notification saying it is extending the deadline to take the NIFT mock tests 2022 to February 4 (8 pm). The mock tests were originally scheduled from February 1-3. The extension in the last date has been done to accommodate candidates who have missed the mock test during the original deadline, the notification said.
The NIFT mock tests will help the candidate understand the functionalities of the online, remote-proctored exam and the navigation process. In addition, the mock tests will help to test the candidate’s system readiness.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the institute is conducting the NIFT 2022 exam in online, proctored mode instead of center-based mode.
The NIFT 2022 exam is conducted for admission to B.Des. M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and MFM courses at NIFT institutes.
Candidates seeking admission to B.Des. and M.Des courses through NIFT 2022 need to appear in the CAT and GAT written tests. Based on CAT and GAT scores, candidates will be shortlisted for the next admission round - Situation Test (B.Des) and GD/PI (M.Des). Those who are applying for admission to B.FTech, M.F.Tech., and MFM courses must only appear in the GAT test; they needn’t take the CAT written test.
The admission committee has released a detailed series of guidelines for the NIFT 2022 online, remote-proctored exam that the candidate needs to follow for a smooth exam experience.
The result of NIFT 2022 written tests will be declared tentatively in mid-March. The results would be declared in online mode at the official website - niftadmissions.in.
