NIFT 2023 seat allotment will be based on the NIFT 2023 merit rank of the candidate and choice opted at the time of registration. It will be conducted in May-June 2023.
NIFT 2023 Registration has been started for seat allotment. NIFT 2023 final results were declared in April 29, 2023. There are a total of 5,199 seats available for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate design courses through NIFT entrance exam. Of these, 4,324 are All-India seats, 405 are state-domicile seats, and 470 are NRI seats. NIFT 2023 seat allotment will be based on the NIFT 2023 merit rank of the candidate and choice opted at the time of registration. It will be conducted in May-June 2023.

NIFT 2023 Seat Allotment Process
The NIFT seat allotment will be made considering the following points:
- The category of the candidate
- The merit rank of the candidate in NIFT 2023
- Options selected at the time of counseling registration (combination of Campus academic program or course)
- Seat intake for the applied program
- Whether the candidate belongs to the PwD category
- Any other seat allotment rules that may be applicable.

This year, a total of 18 NIFTs will participate in the NIFT 2023 admission process; in the last edition, there were 17 participating institutes. NIFT Daman was added recently.
