The candidate needs to produce the following documents at the time of NIFT 2023 counseling.

The application process for NIFT 2023 is now closed. The online application form was open from November 1 to December 31, 2023. With late fees, the application last date was January 8, 2023.

The seat allotment will be made considering the following factors:

• The category of the candidate (Open, Gen-EWS, Gen-PwD, OBC-NCL, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC, SC-PwD, ST, ST-PwD, State Domicile, Foreign National. NRI and Artisan/Children of Artisan.)
• NIFT 2023 merit rank of the candidate
• Options selected (Campus and their order of priority academic program or course)
• Seat intake for the applied program
• Whether the candidate belongs to PwD category
• Any other seat allotment rules that are applicable. 

The eligibility criteria for admission to UG and PG courses offered by participating institurtes of NIFTs are given below.

NIFT Bangalore offees five B.Des specializations. The seat intake for these specializations and total intake for the B.Des is given below.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conduct the Situation Test/ Personal Interview in April. The exact date and schedule will be announced shortly.

Candidates who have qualified in the written tests - CAT and GAT - are eligible to participate in the Situation Test/ Interview.

It is still not clear as to what happens to NIFT 2023 results that have been already downloaded by some candidates.  

Admission to the NIFTs is conducted based on the NIFT 2023 entrance exam.

Candidates first appear in a written exam comprising the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Note that only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT.

Shortlisted candidates next have to appear in a Situation Test/ Interview.

The final results would be declared giving weightage to GAT ( CAT in case of B.Des and M.Des) and Situation Test/ Interview.

The scorecard of UCEED 2023 will contain the following information:

• Part A marks
• Category-wise qualifying marks
• Name, roll number, and signature of the candidate.
• Part B marks, UCEED 2023 score, and merit ranks, however, will only be issued for shortlisted candidates.

IIT Bombay is releasing the scorecards for the B.Des program today. The results of UCEED 2023 were declared on March 9, 2023.

To download the scorecard, the candidate needs to log-in to the candidate portal using their email id and password.

While there is confusion regarding the NIFT results 2023, for instance, why the result link appears and disappears suddenly, why the link is now removed, and when will the result link be reinstated, etc. there is another confusion.

It is whether the result has been declared for the M.Des candidates are not. It is because while some B.Des candidates have managed to download their results, it seems M.Des candidates haven't managed to check their results at all!

Both the admission portals of NIFT - nift.ac.in/admission & niftadmissions.in - are showing up errors: The site can’t be reached.

The NIFT 2023 admission portal - niftadmissions.in - also has no mention of NIFT 2023 exam results.

The results of NIFT 2023 were declared on March 10, but only a few students managed to check their results. Within a few minutes of the declaration of results, the website started to crash. Also, the result link was added and then removed again. 

Currently, there is no clear update as to when will the result link be restored. NIFT officials also haven't come up with any statement on the irregularities in the declaration of results and the problems faced by candidates. 

The situation test for the B.Des program will be conducted in offline mode. Shortlisted candidates will have to participate in a choice-filling process before appearing in the situation test. The choice-filling process will include the selection of participating institutes in the order of priority.

The GDPI for the M.Des, MFTech, and MFM courses will be conducted offline.

One candidate, who goes by the name of Rituraj, shared that while he was trying to check his result, he can’t find any rank card or result details in the dashboard. Instead, his submitted application also disappeared.

The NIFTs offer the following programs at the master’s level.

• Master of Design (M.Des.)
• Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M)
• Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)

The final merit list for the B.F.Tech program will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the Genral Ability Test (GAT).

B.F.Tech applicants are not required to take the CAT and Situation Tests.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the next round of the NIFT 2023 entrance exam, which includes the Situation Test/ Interview based on their performance in the written exam.

The status of the candidate, i.e, qualified or not will be mentioned in the NIFT 2023 result.

The NIFTs offer the following specializations in the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program.

There are 18 National Institutes of Fashion Technologies (NIFTs) that will use NIFT 2023 scores for admission to their UG and PG design courses.

The NIFT 2023 participating institutes have a combined intake of 5199 seats, including 4324 All-India, 405 state domicile, and 470 NRI seats.

Among the 4324 All-India seats, the course-wise intake is:

• B.Des - 2748 seats
• B.F.Tech - 542 seats
• Masters course (M.Des, M.F.Tech, MFM) - 1034 seats.

If two or more candidates score the same marks in NIFT 2023 final results, then the merit ranks of the candidates will be determined following the criteria given below.

1. The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For instance, for the B.Des program, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
2. If both candidates have the same marks in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered. 
3. If the tie is undecided at this stage, then marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge & Current Affairs.

The final results for NIFT 2023 exam will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Interview, except for the B.F.Tech program. Final merit list for B.F.Tech will be prepared based on GAT scores.

• The name, roll number, date of birth, nationality
• Scores obtained in GAT and CAT (only for B.Des and M.Des applicants)

How to check NIFT 2023 results

To check NIFT 2023 results for the written exam, follow these steps:

1. Go to the NIFT 2023 admission portal
2. Click on the result link
3. A result log-in window will open
4. Enter your registered email id and password
5. The NIFT 2023 scorecard will be displayed on the screen
6. Download and take a printout of the result.
