NIFT Entrance Exam 2016: Important Dates

NIFT Srinagar Entrance Exam has been postponed by the design college. NIFT entrance exam for Srinagar campus admissions was scheduled to be held on July 10. However, the exam has been postponed and the official website informs that the test date will be announced later.

NIFT had invited applications from interested candidates having domicile of J&K. Candidates who fell in this bracket needed to apply for NIFT admissions 2016 on the official website of the design school.

Once, aspirants with domicile of J&K successfully completed the application process for NIFT entrance exam 2016, they would automatically get the admit card for the design exam.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2016 for J&K candidates was to be conducted on July 10 at the below mentioned address:

NIFT Campus Srinagar,
SIDCO, Electronic Complex, Rangreth, Srinagar

In order to secure admission in BDes programmes offered, aspirants had to appear for NIFT CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test) followed by an interview round on the exam day itself, that is, July 10, 2016.

NIFT has also announced the Lateral Entry Admission results on its website.

Candidates who have made it to the merit list of NIFT Lateral Entry Admissions 2016 (NLEA 2016) need to further appear for the counselling process in order to secure admission in Bachelor of Design (BDes) as well as Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) programmed offered at different NIFT campuses.

The written test and interview for NIFT lateral entry admissions 2016 for UG courses was held on June 12, 2016. Final result for admission in design programmes offered at all the domestic centres of NIFT was declared on June 21, 2016.

Under the NIFT lateral entry admission policy, candidates can directly secure admission in second year of UG design programmes offered at NIFT after clearing a written exam, studio test, and personal interview round.
