The NTA will release the recorded responses of the NIFT 2024 answer booklet before declaring the NIFT 2024 written exam results. The recorded responses will be the carbon copy of the candidate's answer sheet.

So, by consulting the response sheet and answer key, the candidate will be able to calculate probable scores even before the scorecards are released.

The NIFT 2023 entrance exam was conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

During the GAT paper, some candidates faced technical issues and so weren't able to complete the paper. To compensate these students, the GAT paper in the following centers were re-conducted.

3. Login to the portal using your login credentials - registered email ID, date of birth, roll number, and verification code.
4. After logging, select the campus from the drop-down menu for the situation test centers; also, select a time slot.
5. Submit the details.

The Situation Test for the B.Des program will be conducted in an offline mode at various NIFT campuses across the country. The candidate will have the option of select their choice of exam center at the time of slot booking for the situation test.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) hasn't yet released the FINAL answer key for the NIFT 2024 written exam. Note that the answer key will be released only for the GAT paper; no key will be released for the CAT paper.

While the candidate doesn't have to pay any fee to participate in the counseling process, he or she, however, will have to pay a fee of INR 1,83,200 to confirm an allocated seat. The fee has to be paid online.

To register for NIFT 2024 counseling, you don't have to pay any fees. As part of the counseling registration process, you need to select academic preferences, which is a combination of academic program and college.

6. Problem-solving approach
7. Leadership qualities
8. Effective communication

Here are the key features of the NIFT 2024 Situation Test.

• The situation test is a hands-on test.
• It will evaluate the material handling and innovative ability of the candidate.
• The candidate has to make a model/design using the given material.
• The materials to be used during the situation test will be provided inside the exam hall. Other materials except those provided will not be allowed.
• The model will be evaluated on space visualization, innovative and creative use of given material, the composition of elements, color scheme, construction skill, the finesse of the model and overall presentation, etc. These parameters will be checked with the write-up explaining the concept behind the model constructed. 
• The write-up should be in English. No marks will be given for write-ups in any other language. 
• The candidate is not allowed to disclose their identity in any way; trying to do so could lead to disqualification.
• The situation test will be evaluated on the SPOT. Also, note that the model will not be preserved for future reference.

• Get a tool kit with all utilities like a geometry box, foot ruler in metal & plastic, paper knife, scissors big & small, cello tape, glue stick, fevicol, all pins, markers, etc.
• Learn how to use different craft materials. 
• Here are some materials that you can use for practice – cardboard, thermocol (thick & thin), glaze papers, kite papers, handmade sheets, cellophane, fabric, colored clay, aluminum foil, aluminum sheet, sun pack, foam, straw pipe, mouldable aluminum wire, transparency sheet, cotton, rubber sheet, gift wrapping sheet, beads & sequences, etc.
• Make a routine and stick to it.
• Design different modes using the available materials.

• Concept development
• How beautifully and intelligently the student can convert the concept into a design/ product
• Whether the student can  transform a design/ product from paper to 3D
• The amount of innovation involved in the end product
• The amount of material exploration, experimentation, and treatment is given to otherwise simple craft raw material.
• Can the student explain the concept in the writeup?
• If the student possesses a knack for combining different types of materials according to their texture and weight.
• How appropriately the materials are used for the right component in the model?
• If the student can utilize the resources not only in variety but also in quantity, that is, managing the limited supply.

NIFT Bengaluru Courses - B.Des and B.Ftech 

Around 40,000 candidates appear in the NIFT entrance exam every year. There are 18 participating NIFTs that offer a combined intake of 4.289 seats.

The NTA will also release the recorded responses of the NIFT 2024 answer booklet of the candidate.

The recorded responses will be released before NIFT 2024 results are declared. 

The DAT Prelims results for the B.Des program will be announced on March 18, 2024. Candidates who qualify in the exam will have to appear in a Studio Test (DAT Mains).

Yes, the results of NID DAT Mains 2024 for the M.Des program has been declared on February 16, 2024. The candidate was also given an option to recheck their results from February 16-18, 2024.

IIT Bombay has declared the results of the UCEED 2024 exam at UCEED 2024 (iitb.ac.in).

If we go by the statistics NTA has with releasing results for other entrance exams like JEE Mains and NEET, the results will likely be declared early morning. But that being said there is no guarantee, NIFT results will also be declared in the morning.

It is important to clarify at the outset that NIFT doesn't encourage or endorse any coaching classes.

Also, keeping apart tall claims made by coaching institutes, the design entrance exams test such skills which are not easily acquired in a coaching institute. It is the creativity and skill set that will be judged, and also the urge to learn new things.

To cut a long story short, if you work on your personal traits, improve your observation skills, and creativity, keep updated by reading newspapers and magazines, and have some basic maths and quants skills, you are bound to do well in an exam like NIFT.

Shortlisted candidates for Masters Programs have to appear in a Personal Interview (PI).

The Personal Interview will evaluate the following parameters:

1) Career orientation
2) Aptness for the course
3) Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities
4) Communication
5) General awareness, aptitude, creative and lateral thinking

If two or more candidates score the same marks in the written exams, then the merit ranks will be determined in the following sequence.

1. The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For instance, for the B.Des program, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
2. If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered. 
3. If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, 
   Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs. 

The Situation Test will be conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

The role of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the NIFT 2024 written exams and declaration of results.
