One new institute to accept UCEED 2021 result for admissions

World University of Design, Sonepat will take part in UCEED exam on result sharing basis. Aspirants can secure admission in BDes course offered at World University of Design through UCEED 2021.

UCEED 2021 result will be accepted by World University of Design, Sonepat for BDes admissions. Candidates are informed that World University of Design will only be taking part in UCEED exam as a result sharing institute and it would not be taking part in the joint counselling conducted by IIT Bombay for UCEED admissions.

Through UCEED exam aspirants can secure admission in BDes courses offered in Design specialisations such as Product Design, Interaction Design and Interdisciplinary Design.

Candidates are informed that UCEED is the means through which they are shortlisted for admission in BDes course offered at four participating colleges, which are-

• IIT Bombay
• IIT Guwahati
• IIT Hyderabad
• IIITDM Jabalpur

Apart from these participating colleges there are some other institutes that are called UCEED result sharing institutes. Last year, a total of 15 universities and colleges (apart from participating institutes) accepted UCEED scores for admission in BDes programmes offered by them. However, this year 23 universities/colleges are taking part in UCEED exam on result sharing basis. UCEED 2020 will be conducted by IIT Bombay on January 17. Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee every year to offer admission to eligible candidates in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes offered at colleges accepting UCEED scores.

UCEED is an online examination of three hours duration that is typically conducted in the month of January every year. Merely appearing for the UCEED exam or securing a spot in the UCEED rank list does not guarantee admission in BDes programmes. Candidates who qualify UCEED exam need to separately apply for admission as per the procedure prescribed by IIT Bombay. Admissions in BDes are done on the basis of merit in each category. The merit list is prepared on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in the written entrance exam.
