SEED 2022 - Fee payment deadline for first merit list candidates ends today

Candidates who are included in the 1st merit list published on April 15, 2022, need to pay the requisite fee and complete online registration for the applied program.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will close the window to pay the admission fee and register for the applied program today (April 27). The window is open for B.Des aspirants who were included in the SEED 2022 merit list published on April 15. The B.Des program will commence tentatively in July 2022. 

SID Admission Process 2022

The final selection for admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Design is done on the basis of the performance of the candidate in:

• Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED)
• Portfolio Review
• PRPI Task 
• Personal Interaction

In addition, the admission committee will also confirm the information provided by the candidate in the SEED 2022 application form.

SEED 2022 Student Intake

The Symbiosis Institute of Design has an intake capacity of 180 seats for Indian nationals. In addition, there are 27 seats for foreign nationals.

The institute currently offers the following disciplines:

• Communication design - 80 seats
• Industrial design - 45 seats
• Fashion design - 29 seats
• Fashion communication - 26 seats

Note: The above intake is for Indian nationals only.

A brief about SEED 2022 entrance exam

The SEED is a design aptitude test and written exam conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design to screen students for admission to its B.Des course. The exam is of 2 hours 30 minutes duration and includes objective-type questions. 

The scores of the written exam are used to shortlist candidates for a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round.
