SEED 2023 Admit Card for PRPI (Released) - Live Updates, Download Link, @ sid.edu.in

The National Institute of Design (NID) is conducting the Studio Test and Interview for DAT Mains from March 20 (onward). The studio test and interview are conducted program-wise as per the schedule given below.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will start the academic session for the B.Des program tentatively in July 2023. Candidates who have been allocated seats, have paid the seat-acceptance fee, and completed other admission formalities, will have to join the college as per the given schedule.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will declare the results of NIFT 2023 in May 2023. The institute hasn't yet given a fixed date for the declaration of results.

The final results will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams (GAT and CAT) and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The SID currently offers specialization in Interior Space Design under Industrial Design. The program was introduced in 2013. Admission to the course is conducted through the SEED 2023 exam.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) offers a 4-year, fill-time B.Des program. The degree program is recognized by the UGC and the degree nomenclature is included in Section 22 of UGC.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the B.Des Studio Test on April 30, 2023. The studio test will be conducted in offline mode and is open to candidates who have qualified in DAT Prelims.

The final merit list of NID DAT 2023 will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

Candidates who have been shortlisted for the Studio Test have to select a test city between April 3 and April 5 (4 pm). Test cities will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. 

In case the candidate fails to select a test city, then the system will automatically allocate a test city based on number of seats available at respective test centres.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design offers a 4-year, full-time B.Des program. Note that the institute doesn't offer any PG courses.

Candidates seeking admission to the program need to first appear in the SEED entrance exam, and if shortlisted have to next appear in the personal interaction round.

It is compulsory for the candidate to upload their portfolios during the given window. The candidate will not be allowed to carry portfolios with them on the day of the personal interaction.

The candidate can take pictures of their best works, compile them, and then can upload the pdf format of the portfolio on the given link.

The candidate will be intimated about the personal interaction and process to join it through email. Additionally, the candidate must also carefully go through the instructions given in the PRSI admit card.

The candidate must upload their digital portfolio between April 11 and 19, 2023.

The digital portfolio must be a compilation of the candidate's best works and showcase one's skills, passion, and interest in a variety of areas and techniques. The candidate must include only such work in the portfolio of which they are proud. It is important also to be different from the crowd and include unique and interesting things.

The candidate will be asked questions related to the portfolio at the time of the personal interaction. So, the candidate must do some preparation related to the portfolio they are uploading, for instance the theme of the portfolio, subjects covered, etc. 

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will release the 1st merit list for the B.Des program on May 2, 2023. Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible for admission to the design program and will have to pay the relevant fee to confirm their seats and complete admission formalities. 

The application form of SEED 2023 for admission to the B.Des program is now closed. The application window was open from September 5, 2022, to January 4, 2023.

The NIFT 2023 Situation Test for the B.Des program was conducted from March 24-27, 2023. The Situation Test was conducted offline at NIFT campuses. Candidates were shortlisted for the test based on their performance in the written exams - GAT and CAT.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) doesn't offer any PG design courses. The institute currently offers a B.Des program in four disciplines. Admission to the B.Des program is conducted through the SEED 2023 entrance exam.

The admission process for international students is handled by the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE). The detailed admission procedure for the Degree Programme of Design can be checked online by logging on to the website www.scie.ac.in. The B.Des program at the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has an intake capacity of 207 seats, with 180 seats earmarked for domestic candidates.

The remaining 27 seats are reserved for international candidates.

The final merit list for admission to the B.Des program will be prepared by considering the following factors:

• Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED)
• Portfolio Review 
• PRPI Task 
• Personal Interaction 

The admission committee will also take into account the information furnished by candidates in the SEED 2023 application form.

To be considered for admission to the B.Des program, the candidate has to meet the following conditions:

The candidate must have passed the 10 2 or 10 3 diploma approved by the State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 50% (SC/ST - 45%) aggregate marks. Candidates from any stream - eg. Science, Commerce, Arts, etc. - can apply. 

Candidates appearing for the final examination of the 10 2 grade or 10 3 diploma may also apply.

The portfolio has to be uploaded online by the candidate between April 11-19, 2023. The Symbiosis Institute of Design will activate the portfolio upload link on its admission portal.

The details pertaining to portfolio size and other details will be notified by the institute on its portal.

The PRPI admit card will carry the following details:

• Name of the candidate
• Photograph and Signature
• Candidate's ID or roll number
• Date and slot of the PRPI
• Name of the course

The link to upload the portfolio will be activated on the SID admission portal - sid.edu.in. Candidates who have booked their slots for the personal interaction round can upload portfolios from April 11-19, 2023.

The admit card for the PRPI will be released online and has to be downloaded following the steps given below.

4. A log-in window will open
5. Enter your log-in id and password
6. On successful login, you can download the admit card

Candidates have been shortlisted for the PRPI based on their performance in the SEED 2023 entrance exam.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) released the Shortlist for PRPI on January 27, 2023.

Candidates included in the shortlist had to book their slots for personal interaction between January 27 & 31, 2023. 

Candidates who have been shortlisted for the PRPI need to upload their portfolios and PRI task from April 11th, 2023, Tuesday to April 19th, 2023, Wednesday.

The upload portal will be activated on April 11, 2023.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design will conduct the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) on multiple days from April 15th, 2023, Saturday to April 20th, 2023, Thursday.

The personal interaction will be conducted online.
