To participate in UCEED 2023 counseling, the candidate must have been shortlisted and secured a merit rank in the UCEED 2023 exam.

The Joint Admission Process will be conducted by IIT Bombay for conducting the counseling and seat allotment process.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the process based on their merit rank in UCEED 2023.

IIT Bombay has released the admit card of UCEED 2023.

NIFT 2023 result sharing institutes will not participate in the Joint Admission Process (or counselling) conducted by IIT Bombay.

Instead, these instiututes will conduct the admission process individually and consider UCEED 2023 scores to fill some of the undergraduate seats.

The UCEED 2023 exam will be held in the following 24 cities: 

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulum, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Visakhapatnam

In such a case, the Part B answer booklet of the candidate will not be evaluated. 

Consequently, the candidate will not be awarded a merit rank and not be considered for seat allotment and admission to the B.Des program.

The cut-off for Part A will be announced on February 9, 2023.

The cut-off will be prepared by considering the marks obtained by candidates in the exam. Note that it is mandatory to qualify Part A, as otherwise Part B paper of the candidate will not be evaluated.

Merit ranks will only be allocated to all SHORTLISTED candidates.

Also, only such candidates who have been allocated merit ranks will get invitations or be eligible for participation in UCEED 2023 counseling process.

The Part B answer booklet will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted. Note that the shortlist will be made on the basis of score secured by the candidate in Part A. 

The Part B question paper is subjective in nature, and so there are no model solutions. The paper will be evaluated holistically based on criteria given in the question.

Also, there is no scope for re-evaluation or re-totalling of the UCEED 2023 answer booklet.

The results of the UCEED 2023 exam will be declared on March 9, 2023.

IIT Bombay will declare the results of all candidates who appeared in the UCEED 2023 entrance exam. However, merit ranks will be released only if the candidate meets the cut-off marks for Part A and gets shortlisted.

The final answer key will be released on January 30, 2023.

The final key will be prepared and uploaded on the UCEED 2023 admission portal after considering comments/feedback given by the candidate.

Also, the keys given in the final UCEED 2023 will be considered the correct answers to questions asked in the entrance exam. Further, unllike the draft answer key, the final key can't be challenged any further. 

The evaluated answer booklet of Part B will not be shared with the candidate. However, answer booklets of Part - B will be preserved for a period of three months from the date of declaration of UCEED results.

IIT Bombay hasn't yet released the admit cards for the UCEED 2023 exam. Given no specific time was mentioned in the admission schedule, the admit card can be released any moment now.

Objections have to be submitted through the candidate portal only. Comments/objections sent via mail or any other mode against the UCEED 2023 answer key will not be accepted.

Yes, the candidates need to bring a printed copy of the admit card with them on the day of the UCEED 2023 exam.

Also, along with the admit card, the candidate will need a valid id proof in original.

Any objections against the draft key should be filed through the candidate portal within two days of the release of the answer key.

To raise an objection, the candidate must furnish the necessary supporting documents and also pay the requisite fees. 

Objections can be filled latest by January 26, 2023 (5 pm).

The question paper (or master question booklet) of UCEED 2023 will also be released on January 24, 2023. Candidates who have appeared in the exam will be able to download the question paper from the official website.

The question master booklet must be used as a reference material when uploading comments / feedbacks.

The draft answer key for the exam will be released on January 24, 2023. The draft key will be released at the UCEED 2023 admission portal.

The answer key will contain the official answers to questions asked in the entrance exam. It can thus be used by the candidate to calculate probable scores.

If you lose the downloaded admit card, you can easily download it again simply by logging into the UCEED 2023 admit card download portal.

However, if you misplace or lose the login password, then you will have to use the lost password option to retrieve the password.

The candidate will be able to download the previous years’ question papers of UCEED 2023 from the UCEED 2023 admission portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in/2023/index.html.

On the home page, click on the “Download” tab given at the top. 

Along with the question papers, the corresponding answer keys are also given. The candidate can compare their answers with those given in the key to check their solutions.

The candidate must keep the following points in mind to be followed on UCEED exam day:

• The candidate must report at the UCEED 2023 exam centre at 7 am. The candidate will have to record their biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) before the commencement of the exam.
• To get inside the exam centre, the candidate will have to display a valid Admit Card and a Photo Identity Proof.
• Impersonation and/or use of any unfair means in the examination is a considered a serious offence and will result in immediate disqualification of the candidate from UCEED. Criminal proceedings may also be initiated against the candidate.
• The candidate is NOT be allowed to carry any electronic device (mobile phones, smart phones, digital/smart watches, calculators, tablets and the like), abacus, slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, and so on to the examination hall. A list of forbidden items will be put-up on the website before the exam, if there are additional items.
• The candidate has to bring their own stationery, including drawing material like pens, pencils, sketch pens, colours, etc. 
• No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam centre until the exam is over.
• COVID 19 related information, if any, will be updated on the UCEED admission portal.

Don’t carry these items inside the exam hall.

2. Click on the 'UCEED Admit Card' tab
3. Enter your email ID and password 
4. Download UCEED admit card displayed on the screen

You will also need to take a printout of the UCEED 2023 admit card, as it will be required on the day of the exam.

The UCEED score is valid for one year, and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

So, candidates seeking admission to B.Des at participating institutes need to appear in the UCEED 2023 exam; previous years' scores will not be accepted.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in UCEED 2023 is mentioned below:

• Age limit - The candidate should be born on or after October 1, 1998. Relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST or PwD category. 
• Number of attempts - A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
• Qualifying examination - The candidate should have passed in all subjects in the 10 2 or equivalent in 2022, OR should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2023. Students from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) can apply.

One immediate question that comes to mind is what happens to the time lost due to technical problems.

As per the information given in the UCEED 2023 information brochure, if there is a technical problem, the lost time will be adjusted automatically in the server. This specifically means the server will the recording the lost time. 

Part A of the exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode. In case of technical problems, the candidate must approach the invigilator for assistance.

It is also important for the candidate not to panic in such situations; the candidate must instead keep a cool head and handle the situation with patience. 

The exam conducting body has notified it will take utmost care to prepare an error-free question paper. However, if an error is detected in the question paper, the UCI Committee will take an appropriate decision after the examination.

Note that the decision taken by the UCI committe will be binding on all.

Part B of the UCEED 2023 question paper will include a drawing-based question which will carry 60 marks. 

Part B will be of 30 minutes duration. The test will evaluate the ability to draw products, people, or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective and shading.

The UCEED 2023 question paper will include questions from the following topics.

The section-wise questions and marking scheme for UCEED 2023 is as follows.

Part A of the UCEED 2023 question paper will include three types of questions.

• NAT (Numerical Answer Type)
• MSQ (Multiple Select Question)
• MCQ (Multiple Choice Question)

The question paper structure for the UCEED 2023 exam is given below.

• There will be ONE question paper of total THREE hours duration.
• The question paper will be set in English 
• Total marks for the exam will be 300. 
• The question paper will have two parts: Part-A and Part-B. Both parts are compulsory.

There are five participating institutes for UCEED 2023.

• IIT Bombay
• IIT Delhi
• IIT Guwahati
• IIT Hyderabad
• IIITDM Jabalpur

No seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to the OBC category. Consequently, such candidates will be considered for admission under the open category.

However, note that OBC-NCL candidates are eligible for a 27% reservation.

The participating institutes of UCEED 2023 will reserve seats for the following categories.

• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of seats
• Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) – 27% of seats
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of seats in the course. • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of seats in the course
• PwD category - 5% horizontal reservation

The seats available at the participating colleges and combined intake for the B.Des program is given below.

The UCEED 2023 card will be available through the candidate log-in. So, it is mandatory to keep one’s log-in credentials like the registered email id and password ready.

The admit card can be downloaded once the download link is activated on the UCEED 2023 admission portal.

The admit card will be today, but check other important dates associated with the admit cards, including the window to submit rectification requests.

The NIFT 2023 exam is conducted for admission to the B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses offered by the 18 participating NIFTs.

Candidates who have successfully applied for the exam can download the admit cards at niftadmissions.in.

The scores of the UCEED 2023 exam will be considered for admission to the B.Des program offered by participating institutes.

Currently, there are 199 B.Des seats available at the participating institutes.

Candidates appearing in the UCEED 2023 exam will not be allowed to leave the exam venue until the exam gets over at 12 am. This means, once the exam starts at 9 am, every candidate has to stay inside the exam venue until the exam is over.

Any candidate trying to break the rules may be disqualified and may also face criminal proceedings.

The identity of the candidate will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives. A doubtful candidate may not be allowed to take the UCEED 2023 exam.

However, if the doubtful candidate is allowed to appear in the exam, his or her candidature shall be subject to the decision of UCI Committee.

• Exam date: January 22, 2023 (9 am - 12 noon)
• Reporting time: 7:00 am

Once the exam has commenced, no candidate will be allowed to leave the exam venue until the exam is OVER. Also, considering there are entry formalities to be completed before the start of the exam, it is recommended that the candidate reaches the exam venue early.

If there are any discrepancies in the admit card, requests for rectification will be accepted latest by January 17, 2023 (5 pm).

It is important that the candidate is prompt to report discrepancies, because waiting too late may run into server issues or some other problems.

After downloading the admit card, carefully examine all the entries in the admit card for any discrepancies.

It may happen that the name of the candidate may be incorrectly spelled, or some details may be blurred, or details may be missing from the admit card.

Yes, the candidates need to bring a printed copy of the admit card with them on the day of the UCEED 2023 exam.

Also, along with the admit card, the candidate will need a valid id proof in original.

The candidate needs to bring the following stationery items with them - pens, pencils, sketch pens, and colors for the examination. However, drawing sheets are not allowed inside the exam venue.

It is important for the student to come prepared to ensure a smooth exam experience.

• Electronic device (mobile phones, smart phones, digital/smart watches, calculators, tablets and the like)
• Abacus, slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, etc.

The admit cards for the CEED 2023 exam will be released anytime today. 

While the UCEED 2023 exam is conducted for admission to the B.Des program, the scores of CEED 2023 will be considered for admission to the M.Des program offered by participating institutes.

On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to bring the following documents:

• Photo ID proof
• UCEED 2023 admit card

Any candidate who doesn't display these documents won't be allowed to take the design entrance exam.

The admit card will be issued to candidates who have completed the UCEED 2023 application process and paid the application fees. The application process for the exam was open from September 30, 2022, onward. The last date to submit applications with regular fees was November 9, while with late fees, applications were accepted up to November 16, 2022.

The admit card will contain the following information:

• Roll number
• Name of the candidate
• DOB, Category, and Gender
• Examination Schedule
• Reporting and Registration Time
• Photograph and Signature of the candidate.

The candidate needs to report at the UCEED 2023 exam centre at 7 am. The candidate needs to report at the exam centre on time as there are registration and other formalities to be completed.

Note that late comers may not be allowed entry into the exam venue.

The UCEED 2023 exam will be conducted from 1 am - 12 noon.

The admit card for UCEED 2023 has to be downloaded online at - uceed.iitb.ac.in/2023/index.html.

Without the admit card and the Photo Identity Proof, no candidate will be allowed to appear in the UCEED 2023 entrance exam.

The admit card for UCEED 2023 will be available for download from January 13, 2023 (onward).

The admit card has to be downloaded online. The candidate will not be sent hard copies of the admit card.
