UCEED 2025 Registrations Underway

UCEED 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is currently accepting applications for UCEED 2025 exam. The application process for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2025 commenced on October 1, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates may register for UCEED 2025 by October 31 without late fee. Meanwhile, applications will be accepted with late fees until November 8.

UCEED 2025 exam is officially scheduled to be conducted on January 19, 2025. According to the schedule, UCEED Result 2025 will be out on March 7, 2025

UCEED 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the UCEED 2025 exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Age Limit

- General Category: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000.

- SC, ST, and PwD Categories: Candidates in these categories should be born on or after October 1, 1995.

Number of Attempts

- Candidates can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and the attempts must be in consecutive years.

Qualifying Examination

- Candidates must have passed all subjects in the 10+2 examination in 2024 or should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2025.

- Students from all streams—Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities—are eligible to apply.

- Candidates who appeared for their qualifying examination (Class XII) for the first time in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to appear for UCEED 2025.

Validity of Scores

- The UCEED scores are valid for one year and are only applicable for admissions in the corresponding academic year.

UCEED 2025 Application Fees

The application fee for UCEED 2025 is structured as follows:

- General candidates: INR 4,000

- Reserved-category candidates (SC, ST, PwD): INR 2,000

- Female candidates (all categories): INR 2,000

- Foreign nationals:

  - Candidates from SAARC countries: USD 420

  - Candidates from Non-SAARC countries: USD 525

Candidates are required to pay the application fee online via the payment gateway provided on the UCEED portal.

How to apply for UCEED 2025?

Candidates wishing to pursue design courses can follow these steps to complete their UCEED 2025 application:

  1. Visit the official UCEED application link: [uceed.iitb.ac.in](http://uceed.iitb.ac.in)
  2. Open the UCEED 2025 registration form.
  3. Fill in the required personal, academic, and contact details.
  4. Choose a suitable exam centre for UCEED 2025.
  5. Upload the necessary documents as per the specified guidelines.
  6. Pay the application fee and submit the form.

Q:   Do I need to apply separately to UCEED 2024 participating institute?

A:
Candidates who have qualified UCEED 2024 do not have to apply separately to each participating college. Instead, IIT Bombay will conduct a joint counseling for the participating institutes. The online registration for counseling will open sometime in March 2024. Candidates who have been allocated a merit rank in UCEED 2024 are eligible to participate in the counseling-cum-seat allotment. As part of the registration process, the candidate needs to enter their choices of colleges in the order of priority.

Q:   What is the minimum eligibility criteria to participate in UCEED 2025 counseling?

A:

To participate in UCEED 2025 counseling, the candidate has to meet the following conditions:

  • Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000

  • UCEED 2025 qualification - The candidate must have qualifed in the UCEED 2025 exam.

  • Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed all five subjects in 10+ 2 or an equivalent exam in 2024 or 2025. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible.

Q:   Will I be assigned a UCEED 2025 common merit rank (AIR) if I do not get shortlisted?

A:

It is mandatory for candidates to get shortlisted to be included in the merit rank. Note that only such candidates who qualify Part A will get shortlisted.

IIT Bombay will release the cut-off marks for Part A around the 2nd week of February 2025. All candidates who meet the cut-off criteria will get shortlisted.

Further, only shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in the UCEED 2025 couneling process.
