The seat allotment results for Round I was declared on April 10, 2022. Candidates who have been allotted seats can accept the seat and pay the acceptance fee.

IIT Bombay will open the window for candidates to accept their allotted seats and pay the seat acceptance fee from April 15-26, 2022. The institute has also released detailed guidelines that candidates have to follow during the seat allotment process. These guidelines pertain to accepting/declining/upgrading of allotted seats. 

UCEED 2022 seat allotment results for Round I was released on April 10. There will be a total of three seat allotment rounds. Round II seat allotment results would be declared on May 10, while seat allotment results for third and final round will be declared on June 10, 2022.

UCEED 2022 seat allotment guidelines

If the candidate is allotted the 1st choice institute:The candidate has the option to ACCEPT (FREEZE) or DECLINE the offer. If the seat is declined, the candidate however will be out of the admission process and will not be considered for seat allotment in upcoming rounds.

If seat allotment is SECOND/THIRD/FOURTH/FIFTH choice institute - In this case, the candidate may ACCEPT (FREEZE) the choice or ACCEPT with the OPTION to be CONSIDERED for UPWARD MOVEMENT (โ€˜floatโ€™) in upcoming rounds.

  1. If the candidate accepts the seat, then the allotted seat will be booked and the candidate will not be considered for subsequent rounds.
  2. If a candidate opts for the โ€œFLOATโ€ option, then he/she may be offered a higher preference seat or institute (if available) in the next round. 
  3. If the candidate accepts the higher preference seat, the seat allotted in the previous round will automatically get canceled. 
  4. If the candidate is not offered a higher preference seat or declines the higher preference seat, in that case the candidate will retain the seat allocated in the previous round.

Seat allocated in the last round

The candidate will not have the option to withdraw/ decline an accepted/ allotted seat after the third and final round of UCEED 2022 seat allotment.

Seat Acceptance Fees - Accept, Freeze, Float

  • If the candidate selects any of the three options - accept, freeze, or float - he/she will have to pay the complete seat acceptance fee; partial payment of the seat acceptance fee will be accepted. 
  • Seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against institute fee
  • Refund of fees - If the candidate declines the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fees, the candidate is eligible for a refund.
  • Withdrawal and refund - If the candidate has paid the seat acceptance fee but opts for withdrawal after Round I up to one day before seat allotment results for Round III is announced, he/she will get a refund amount equivalent to the seat acceptance fee minus the seat cancellation fee and processing charge of Rs. 5000.
