DSEU, SIDBI collaborate to introduce course in entrepreneurship
The partnership has taken place with an objective to make youth independent and extend ‘Mission Swavalamban’ to skilled youth through entrepreneurial education.
The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has collaborated with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The agreement was signed at the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University campus in Delhi on May 31, 2022. The partnership has taken place with an objective to make youth independent and extend ‘Mission Swavalamban’ to skilled youth through entrepreneurial education.
R.K. Singh, CGM of SIDBI spoke on the commitment of SIDBI towards MSMEs, and its vision to create one entrepreneur in every household. Under the partnership, DSEU will develop courses and also initiate new programmes and projects with SIDBI to support individuals and help them learn the basics of entrepreneurship.
DSEU and SIDBI aim to support aspirants in starting new micro-enterprises and promote entrepreneurship as a preferred career choice, said a statement from SIDBI. An official tweet posted by SIDBI reads, "One more step taken in Education for Entrepreneurship bucket. #SIDBI signed MoU with Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University to support various initiatives in developing enterprise ecosystem."
Entrepreneurship courses to help aspirants set up enterprises
Entrepreneurship courses introduced by DSEU has been introduced to help aspirants to set up enterprises as per the industry’s demand. Under this programme, aspirants will get handholding and mentorship to launch and scale up their enterprises.
The vice-chancellor of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, Neharika Vohra, said, "This partnership with SIDBI shall lead to many innovative paradigms in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. We endeavour to build processes and systems with the support of SIDBI to enable young entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs for ease of doing business in the city. The idea is to work on mindsets and building agencies rather than simply supporting them with a seed fund.”
