1M1B and Salesforce To Establish First-Ever Physical Center for Green Skills Academy in Hyderabad

The 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) Foundation has partnered with Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, to establish the first physical centre of the 1M1B Green Skills Academy in Hyderabad, Telangana. This initiative, supported by the state government, will emphasise Artificial Intelligence (AI).

By utilising the 1M1B Green Skills learning path, this Academy will empower young people with essential green skills and create crucial connections to employment opportunities within the green economy. The partnership aims to train 1 million youth from Telangana by 2030, with the top 10 youth selected annually to showcase their work at the annual 1M1B summit at the United Nations in New York.

Earlier this year, 1M1B Foundation signed a MoU with the Telangana Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Telangana, and formed 1M1B Green Skills Academy to accelerate the adoption of green skills amongst the college youth in the state of Telangana through the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK). Now, 1M1B, in collaboration with Salesforce, will set up a physical Green Skills Academy Centre in Telangana with the support of the state government with a big focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The World Economic Forum estimates that the transition to a green economy could create 24 million new jobs globally by 2030. Aligned with this and other opportunities, The 1M1B Green Skills Academy centre will also focus on training college students with industry-specific skills and provide linkages with green jobs in the State.

Green Skills are the way forward and are essential to prioritise sustainable development and the adoption of emerging technologies like generative AI.”
