The college was recently awarded the A Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  

Expressing concern over the increasing number of institutions that are failing to keep up with the standards, Majithia said, “Though there is an increasing number of engineering colleges in the state, the quality of education is deteriorating. The colleges offering distance education are playing with the future of their students.” 

KCGC Honourary Secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said technical colleges have a pivotal role to play in society. He said, “Technical institutions equip their students with skills.” Director-Principal Manju Bala said many students earned university merits, gold medals and were placed in reputed multinational compnaies. She also highlighted the research orientation of the faculty for their growth as teachers through their participation in faculty development programmes, seminars, workshops, expert lectures and agreements with institutes of repute.  

Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology offers undergraduate courses in the engineering field such as BTech specialising in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The college provides scholarship opportunities to Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) rank holders, diploma students, and university rank holders based on the government norms.
