AICTE felicitates authors of Hindi books, other Indian languages

Prizes worth INR 5,65,000 were awarded to the authors present at the technical textbook prize distribution function.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) organised a technical textbook prize distribution function in where 12 authors were felicitated and given prizes worth INR 5,65,000.

The scheme was started in 1998 in abidance of Official Language Act to promote writing in Hindi and other Indian languages. AICTE annually gives awards to authors of Hindi, technical subjects at degree, diploma, ITI/technician/translation level textbooks.

The first prize of INR 1,25,000 was awarded to Prof (Dr) Neeraj Kumar, author of the book titled ‘Vyapar Ethos’, a degree level textbook by AICTE at its headquarters. The second prize of INR 75,000 was given to Gupta, and the third prize (jointly) of INR 50,000 to Ashok Goyal and Arjun Kamal for the book ‘Principles of Design’. 

Similarly, for (diploma level original writing), the first prize of INR 75,000 was awarded to Dilip Gangil for the book ‘General Mechanical Engineering’, INR 50,000 to Dr Sadiq Khan for the book ‘Polytechnic Applied Chemistry’. Also, for the book ‘Environmental Engineering and Safety’ KK Gupta was given the second prize of INR 50,000 (jointly).

An award of INR 40,000 was given to Manoj Kumar Vashney for the book ‘Structural Mechanics’ and INR 40,000 (jointly) to Jayant Kumar Rai and Satish Kumar Thakur for the book ‘Analog Electronic Circuit-Z2’. 

Additionally, Ashish Kumar was awarded the first prize of INR 50,000 for the book titled ‘Machinist Practical’. INR 50,000 each was rewarded to Manoj Kumar Vashney, Abhinav Vashney, Paras Kumar Vashney, Rohit Kumar Vashney, Arpit Kumar Vashney for the book titled ‘Design of Steel and Masonry Structures’ for degree and diploma level (jointly).
