JEE Mains 2023 Session 1 will be conducted in January 2023, and Session 2 will start in April. JEE Main 2023 will be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023, according to the NTA exam calendar.

All India Student's Union ( AISU ) on behalf of those seeking postponement of JEE Mains 2023 exam has submitted a representation to the ministry of education. The union has stated, “It's our kind request to the authorities to consider JEE Aspirants genuine concerns.”

JEE Mains 2023 Session 1 will be conducted in January 2023, and Session 2 will start in April. JEE Main 2023 will be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023, according to the NTA exam calendar.

Aspirants are trending JEEMain2023 in April on Twitter and are demanding the postponement of the January session. Many students have called for the postponement of the JEE Main 2023 January exams because the practical exams for the CBSE board exams along with other board exams will clash with JEE Main 2023.

The union has stated various concerns in the representations. A few points raised in the representations have been listed below:

  1. Dates of JEE Main 2023 were announced just one month before the first session-1. In 2020, when the first session was held in Jan 2020, dates were finalized and announced by the NTA in Aug 2019 i.e. 4 months prior to the exam. Notice period of just 1 month is insufficient, unfair, unjust and not rational for the 2023 aspirants.
  2. The session-1 of JEE Mains 2023 exam is going to be conducted from 24 Jan 2023 to 31 Jan 2023. In addition, some state boards like Bihar Board (BSEB) have their 12th board exams starting from 1 Feb 2023. Students of Bihar Board are depressed who has JEE Main on January 31 and 12th board exam paper the next day
  3. This year, JOSSA and CSAB rounds lasted till end of October 2022. Now, if the JEE Main 2023 Session-1 is conducted in Jan 2023, it will be a clear injustice with the droppers as they only got 2.5 months for preparation.
  4. Considering JEE Main 2023 Session-1 in last week of Jan 2023, JEE advanced 2023 would most probably be conducted in May 2023. However, if NTA accepts aspirants' demand and reschedules the Session-1 to April 2023, JEE Advanced 2023 could be conducted in June 2023. So, there's a difference of just one month between the decision of NTA and students' demand.
  5. JEE Exam is 02 Years (XI-2021-22 & XII-2022-23) based exam. Last Two years, XI gone fully affected by COVID in Online Classes and Underrated academic for Large no. of deserving students. The Class XII also partially affected.
  6. CBSE already enforced full syllabus/Session(Single Exam, Preboards, Practical etc.) in 2022-23 Session instead of COVID affected late start of this academic year. CBSE already announced external practical w.e.f 01/01/2023 which will last for about 1 Month i.e. up to 31/01/2023.
