Application deadline for AICTE PG Scholarship extended

The last date for submission of online application under AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme has been extended till February 28, 2022.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the application deadline for its postgraduate (PG) scholarship scheme till February 28, 2022. Earlier, the candidates were supposed to apply for the scheme till January 31, 2021.  

Only candidates who have a valid score in GATE, GPAT and CEED can apply for the scholarship online on the official portal of the AICTE, pgscholarship.aicte-india.org. They must have been admitted to AICTE approved regular postgraduate programmes. Selected candidates for the AICTE PG scholarship will be given a monthly stipend of INR 12,400 through direct benefit transfer in their bank accounts.  

Eligibility for AICTE PG Scholarship

  • Students  must have a valid GATE, GPAT or CEED qualification score at the time  of admission.  
  • They  must be enrolled as full-time scholars.  
  • They  must be admitted in AICTE-approved institutions and courses such as  Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture,  Master of Pharmacy and Master of Design.

As per a notice issued by the AICTE, the students who are eligible and are admitted in the AICTE approved institutions and AICTE approved courses can submit their application on the portal, https://pgscholarship.aicte-india.org/. They are also advised to submit their online applications well in time so that their institutions are able to verify applications within the prescribed timeline.  

The council further notified that applications received after the last date shall not be entertained. The eligible institutions are also advised to verify applications of their students immediately after receiving the applications on the online portal.
