How many candidates will be allowed to take the JEE Advanced 2025 exam for IIT admissions? While waiting for the JEE Mains 2025 session 1 result, here is an insight into the number of category wise candidates to be selected for the IIT JEE Advanced exam 2025.

Around 13 Lakh Candidates Await JEE Mains 2025 Result; How Many Will Qualify for JEE Advanced?

According to unofficial sources, a total of 13,00,273 candidates have registered for the JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 exam. With results eagerly awaited since February 10, let’s take a look at the number of candidates who will qualify for JEE Advanced 2025. IIT Kanpur has published the category-wise selection numbers for JEE Advanced 2025. The breakdown is as follows: 96,187 candidates will be selected from the unreserved category; 5,063 from UR-PwD; 25,000 from EWS; 67,500 from OBC; 37,500 from SC; and 18,750 from ST.

The NTA has activated the link for the JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 results, but currently, it displays a "500 Internal Server Error." The JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 scorecard has not yet been uploaded to the site. It is important to note that the JEE Mains 2025 cutoff for JEE Advanced 2025 will be released along with the Session 2 results in April. The cutoff will be determined based on the performance of candidates in both sessions and will be set to ensure the required number of candidates are selected from each category.

How Many Candidates Will Qualify for JEE Advanced?

A total of 2.5 lakh top candidates from JEE Mains 2025 will be eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2025. The exam is scheduled for May 18, with registrations opening on April 23. NTA will announce the final JEE Mains result 2025 by April 17.
