Inaugural Graduating Cohorts in ‘Urban Housing’ and ‘Architecture Tectonics’
This Convocation marks a milestone with the graduation of the first cohorts from two new programs. Nineteen students earned their Master's in Urban Housing, addressing the demand for architect-led solutions in the commercial housing sector, while 19 students graduated with a Master's in Architecture Tectonics, a studio-based program focused on materials and construction systems.
Prof. Barjor Mehta, President of CEPT University, welcomed the gathering and congratulated the graduates, highlighting the significance of the inaugural cohorts in the Master's in Housing Design and Master's in Architectural Tectonics programs. He emphasised the programs' relevance to industry needs, from innovative housing solutions to integrating design and construction. Prof. Mehta encouraged graduates to stay connected with the University and assured them of its ongoing support.
In his Convocation address, Chief Guest Dr. Ajay Shah drew upon Greek philosophy, urging students to reflect on the deeper meaning of their lives and their contributions to the world. He emphasized that this moment marks the start of a long journey, encouraging introspection, challenging assumptions, and seeking purpose beyond personal ambition. Dr. Shah urged graduates to focus on contributing to something greater than themselves.
