COVID surge: AKTU to conduct practical exams, project work online

The theory exams will continue to be held in offline mode at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). 

Many colleges and universities are either shifting to the online mode or postponing the exam dates due to the rising COVID-19 cases across the country. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has decided to hold practical exams and project work in online mode from January 14 to 23. However, the theory exams will continue to be held in offline mode.  

A large section of students has been demanding the university to either postpone exams or conduct them in online mode in view of the Omicron variant of COVID surfacing in various states of the country. 

Anurag Tripathi, Controller of Exams, AKTU, has written a letter to all directors and principals of affiliated colleges in this regard. The letter reads in view of the prevailing COVID situation across the state, the university has decided to hold practical exams and projects online.  

Integral University, University of Lucknow postpone exams 

Integral University, Lucknow, has also postponed all its ongoing end semester examinations for the rest of the courses for second-year students and onwards due to a surge in Covid cases in Uttar Pradesh. The university said the revised schedule for the remaining exams will be announced soon. University of Lucknow is yet to decide on the upcoming exams that are scheduled to begin later this month. However, in view of Makar Sankranti, the university has postponed its January 14 exam to January 27.
