Decision on NEET, JEE Main 2021 dates today? HRD Ministry to meet VCs of top Universities
The Ministry of Education is likely to meet VCs of top Central Universities like Delhi University, JNU, Jamia Milia as well as IP and Ambedkar University.
The Ministry of Education is likely to meet the Vice-Chancellors of various Universities today; i.e. June 7, 2021. As per the reports, it is likely that during the meeting the exam dates for the postponed JEE Main 2021 April, May session, as well as NEET 2021, will also be discussed.
The meeting is likely to witness the participation of VCs of top Central Universities like Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Milia as well as IP and Ambedkar University. If reports are believed, then the agenda of the meeting also, includes Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2021, method and process of admission to new academic session etc.
With the CBSE's decision to scrap the CBSE 12th Exams 2021, the meeting is quite crucial. Students have been eagerly waiting for important announcements from the ministry regarding, the criteria on which they will be evaluated, the admission process in various universities, the JEE Main 2021 exam dates and NEET 2021 exam dates.
Recently, the Delhi University Vice Chancellor had confirmed that the varsity this year too will be admitting students on the basis of Merit as per the evaluation criteria decided by CBSE. As for varsities like Jamia and JNU, which already have an entrance exam, the VCs have assured of no change and the exam dates for entrance tests soon. He also announced that the JNUEE 2021 will only be conducted once its safe for students to write.
It must be noted that the CBSE has canceled CBSE Board Exams 2021 for Class 12th and soon after that many state boards have also taken the same decision. The decision to cancel the board exams has been taken keeping the safety of students in mind.
