Diploma certificate for two-year BTech: JNTU Hyderabad
From 2022-23, BTech students opting to exit in the middle without completing the Bachelors in Technology programme after two or three years will be given either a diploma or a certificate.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad has presented some head-turning policies in Technical Education courses such as BTech, Mtech, B Pharmacy, Pharmacy and other technical courses. Following the framework designed by AICTE for multiple entry and multiple exit (MEME) options in four-year B Tech programmes, in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the varsity has decided to implement the procedure of conducting 70 percent of courses through offline classes and 30 percent online. The services of various IIT faculties shall be availed for online teaching. The varsity took the various important decision during a meeting. A 182-member Board of Studies was formed by JNTU Hyderabad Vice-chancellor Professor K Narsimha Reddy to discuss, review and make certain decisions in the field of technical education.
Diploma degree for two-year BTech
From 2022-23, BTech students opting to exit in the middle without completing the Bachelors in Technology programme after two or three years will be given either a diploma or a certificate. BTech degree certificate will be awarded to only those who complete a full four years.
Students can complete two degrees simultaneously
Students will also get the option to complete two degrees simultaneously as they can also take admission to BBA programme. However, student willing to complete two courses simultaneously has to pursue the second course online. The first course will be conducted via offline mode.
Internal weightage increased
Until now, the courses’ internal weightage was 25 percent. However, now the same has been increased to 40 percent. The final exam will be conducted for 60 percent only.
160 credits have been allocated to BTech programme. For designing the new course, 13 BOCs were set up.
