GATE 2014 result analysis: 16.84% candidates get qualifying marks in the exam
The wait is finally over! GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2014 results are out and you can check the same here!
The exam was conducted at 660 centers across 26 states and union territories in India. As many as 10,33,625 aspirants registered for the exam, however, 8,89,156 candidates (86.02 per cent) actually took the exam.
Out of the total registered candidates, 86 per cent male (out of the total male candidates who registered) and 85 per cent female registrants (out of the total female candidates who registered) appeared for the examination. Of the total candidates who registered for the exam, 30.17 per cent were females while the rest were male candidates and others.

According to the official website, around 1,49,694 (16.84 per cent) candidates have been able to comply with qualifying marks criterion and thus, only these many students will receive the scorecards.
