GATE 2025 Registrations Closes Soon: Check Registration Process, Fees, and more

IIT Roorkee will close the GATE 2025 application form on September 26, 2024. The GATE 2025 exam is set to take place on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. Candidates who haven’t filled out the application form yet can check the details for the GATE registration details here. 

The GATE 2025 application form was released on August 28, 2024, at the GOAPS portal—gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Registrations are conducted online. Candidates pursuing higher studies, such as M.Tech and PhD, can apply for the GATE 2025 exam. The last date to submit the GATE online application form is September 26, 2024 (without the late fee) and October 7, 2024 (with a late fee of INR 500). 

How to Apply for the GATE 2025 Application Form?

The step-by-step process to apply for the GATE application form 2025 is as follows -

• Visit the official website of the GATE/GOAPS portal - gate2025.iitr.ac.in 
• Select on the application form link
• Register by entering your name, e-mail address, mobile number, etc.
• Once the registration is complete, candidates will receive an enrollment ID and password.
• Login using the credentials 
• Please enter the required details, such as personal, communication, examination, and educational qualifications. 
• Upload the documents and certificates as per the specifications. 
• Pay the GATE 2025 application fee and submit the application form.

GATE 2025 Application Fees - Category Wise 

The category-wise GATE 2025 application fee is as follows -

• For female/SC/ST/PwD candidates, the GATE 2025 fee is INR 900 (during the regular period) and INR 1400 (during the extended period)
• For other categories, including foreign nationals, the GATE fee is INR 1800 (during the regular period) and INR 2300 (during the extended period)
• The mode of payment is online. Candidates can pay via online banking/debit card/credit card, or UPI. 

Documents Required for GATE 2025 Registration

Candidates applying for the GATE Exam 2025 must keep the following documents at the time of registration -

• Address of communication (including PIN Code)
• Eligibility degree details
• College name and address with PIN Code
• A high-quality image of the candidate photograph as per the specifications
• Good quality image of the candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements
• A scanned copy of the valid photo identity card (the same ID must be carried to the exam hall)
• A scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable in PDF format)
• A scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable in PDF format)
• A scanned copy of a dyslexic certificate (if applicable in PDF format)
• Net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI details for the payment 

The GATE is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the IITs, IIScs, etc., to offer admission to M.Tech and PhD degree programs in IITs, NITs, and other top-tier institutes.
