GUJCET 2022 eligibility criteria released; check details here

The eligibility criteria for GUJCET 2022 has been formulated as per the New Education Policy 2020 and AICTE guidelines.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has released the new eligibility criteria for admission to engineering courses. The new criteria have been formulated as per the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) and the AICTE guidelines.

As per the new eligibility criteria, the marks of subjects other than Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12 will also be considered for preparing the GUJCET 2022 merit list. Also, the GSEB has also announced that in all government colleges, 5 per cent of seats will be filled through JEE Main 2022 scores while the remaining 95 per cent of seats will be filled through GUJCET.

The minimum marks required for admission has also been revised. Candidates now need to obtain a minimum of 45 per cent marks in class 12. Candidates belonging to the reserved category need to have 40 per cent marks in class 12. Also, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12 for admission to engineering courses.

GUJCET Eligibility Criteria Notice

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test, commonly known as GUJCET, is conducted for shortlisting candidates for admission to UG engineering and pharmacy courses in the state. GUJCET 2022 will be held tentatively in May. The date for the exam has not been announced yet. The registration for GUJCET 2022 exam has started. Candidates can fill the application form online from the website gujcet.gseb.org. The last date to fill out the application form is February 5.
