IIIT Delhi Hosts Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Viksit Bharat@2047

IIIT-Delhi held an enlightening session within Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Viksit Bharat@2047. This developmental discourse centred on 'Opportunities in the Internet of Things (IoT): Perspectives from Today into the Future.' Engaging a diverse audience, including students, faculty, and research scholars from IIIT-Delhi and other Delhi-based institutions, the event witnessed active participation.

The conversation covered essential IoT landscape opportunities, sparking a lively exchange of ideas. This session facilitated meaningful interactions between industry leaders and academia, notably showcasing engaging discussions between distinguished speakers and enthusiastic students. Their eagerness to delve into IoT intricacies highlighted industry growth and prospects. Overall, the event significantly enriched understanding of the ever-expanding realm of the Internet of Things.

The discussion was organized in partnership with AICTE alongside the Centre for Intelligent Product Development (CiPD), Institute Innovation Council (IIC), and Entrepreneurship Cell (eCell) of IIIT Delhi.

In the welcome address, Prof. Anuj Grover, Head of the Centre for Intelligent Product Development (CiPD) expressed, "Internet of Things is the first step to putting Intelligence into products. This is the enabler. Today, a lot of IoT enablement is done through imported electronics. In the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, there are five thrust areas: 1)Empowered Indians, 2)Thriving and Sustainable Economy, 3)Innovation, Science, and Technology, 4)Good Governance and Security, and 5)India in the World." 

The session comprised two parts, commencing with Mr. Saibal Dutt leading the initial segment. His presentation delved deeply into diverse IoT applications, spanning from Smart Homes to Natural Resource Management and the Automotive sector. Mr. Sankalp Dongre took the reins for the second segment, centring his presentation on real-world implementations of IoT solutions within ongoing and forthcoming projects.
