IIIT Kottayam invites applications for MTech, PhD courses

The last date to apply for MTech courses is November 30, while that for PhD programmes is November 23. 

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam has invited applications for MTech and PhD programmes. The MTech programmes are for working professionals. The courses are in artificial intelligence and data science, cyber security and computer science and engineering with specialisation in big data and machine learning. 

As per a report published in Onmanorama, eligibility for admission A pass in BTech in any of the disciplines with 50 per cent marks, BE, AMIE or MCA or CS/IT/Maths. The candidate should be employed in an industrial establishment or in the academic sector. The maximum number of seats is 60 with a minimum of 20 seats in each branch of study. The candidates are allowed to complete the course in three to five years depending on their convenience. It is also possible to complete the course as an integrated PhD programme. 
The candidate’s experience in the relevant field obtained after the qualifying course too will be considered for admission. The last date for receiving the applications is November 30. Those who qualify in the preliminary round of selection will have to undergo a written test and interview from December 9 to 18. The selection list will be published on December 21 and classes will begin on January 6 

Those interested in pursuing PhD in computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and computational mathematics can apply before November 23, 2022. There will be four categories for the programme – scholarship holders (full-time), sponsored (full-time), self-financed (full time), and external registrants. The selection will be done on the basis of a written test and interview and the classes will start on January 4.
