IIIT Nagpur plans to have own IT park on permanent campus

The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur will be the first among all IIITs in India to have such a facility for students who can do internships in the software units.  

As per a news report published in The Times of India, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur is planning to have its own IT park in two years on its permanent campus at Waranga on Wardha Road, where software companies can operate their units. 

IIIT Nagpur plans international standard community centre 

It will be the first among all IIITs in India to have such a facility for students who can do internships in the software units. The institute is also planning to build an international standard community centre in Nagpur. The institute revealed this during a media interaction held recently. The institute said it would hold its first convocation ceremony on January 28.  

IIIT Nagpur student bags INR 25 lakh internship package 

A student of IIIT Nagpur recently bagged an internship package of INR 25 lakh. The student will receive a stipend of 25 lakh per month during his internship. The institute has made six-month internship in last semester mandatory for which students have to go through tough tests. The institute Director Omprakash Kakde said the placements for its first two batches were impressive despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The highest annual package offered was INR 46.75 lakh while the average package was INR 8.44 lakh.
