IIT Delhi and Kaspersky Join Hands for Indian Cybersecurity Talent Growth
Kaspersky, a worldwide cybersecurity firm, and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi have joined forces through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Their collaborative aim is to foster the development of cybersecurity research and educational initiatives within the Institute.
The agreement solidifies the collaboration between Kaspersky and IIT Delhi to advance cybersecurity education and research, aiming to fortify India's cybersecurity workforce. This partnership signifies the joint commitment of both entities to strengthen cooperation, ultimately elevating the security of the nation's computing landscape and extending its impact globally.
Within the MoU, there will be exchange of expertise, sharing knowledge, crafting educational resources, orchestrating awareness events for cybersecurity, and supporting academic excellence through awards or prizes. These initiatives aim to inspire and cultivate interest among IIT Delhi students towards careers in ICT and Cybersecurity.
This partnership will enhance the IIT Delhi graduates' desirability on the job market by adding IIT Delhi's educational and scientific activities of new training courses and programs that provide the graduates with relevant competencies that are in demand.
Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Professor Preeti Ranjan Panda, Dean, Corporate Relations, IIT Delhi, emphasised the imperative role educational institutions play in preparing the younger generation to counteract evolving cyber threats.
