IIT Delhi Introduces Advanced Programme in Electric Vehicle Technology

Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at IIT Delhi has launched an online "Advanced Programme in Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology (Batch-6)".

The key learning outcomes will include exposure to the full spectrum of technologies, economic and policy aspects of e-mobility space, vehicle dynamics, comprehensive understanding of storage devices from a single cell to pack level, lithium-ion battery failure mechanisms and testing, working principles of traction motors, understanding Battery Management System (BMS) architecture, power electronics required for drivetrains and chargers, charging aspect from device to electric grid level, charger types, and charging protocols and standards.

The course is for fresh graduates who aspire to work in the sunrise sector of Electric Vehicle to get a comprehensive overview of the technology, and also for working professionals in R&D at entry level to get a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles behind the working of energy storage devices and interface with power electronics, thereby understanding the new possibilities and research directions.

People at the mid and senior levels can also enrol to refresh the underpinning principles behind energy storage technology and relate it to future trends in the technology.

Programme highlights include a Certificate of Successful Completion from CETP, IIT Delhi, Live Interactive Sessions by IIT Delhi Faculty, Cutting-edge curriculum designed by IIT Delhi Faculty, industry-oriented insights from IIT Delhi Faculty, groups project and assignments, and peer-to-peer learning.

Eligibility for Indian participants includes graduates or diploma holders from a recognized university/institute (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline. For international participants, a graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institution in their respective country.
