IIT Delhi Launches New Certificate Program in Design Thinking & Innovation

IIT Delhi has introduced a new certificate programme in Design Thinking and Innovation, which is scheduled to begin on June 12, 2024. The duration of the programme is five months. Check details here 

Recognising the need for flexible strategies and innovative approaches, the Indian Institute of Delhi (IITD) has launched a Certificate Programme in Design Thinking & Innovation. This five-month program is designed to serve a diverse group, including designers, entrepreneurs, consultants, managers, and professionals across various industries. It provides an excellent chance for designers and engineers to advance their abilities in developing solutions that focus on customer needs.

To be eligible for this programme, candidates must have completed graduation/Diploma holders (10+2+3) from a recognised university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government/recognised international universities). They must also have a minimum of one year of work experience. IIT Delhi's Design Thinking & Innovation programme is set to begin on June 12, 2024, with a fee of INR 1,00,000 plus GST.

Live Online Sessions and Webinars by IITD Faculty and Industry Experts 

The programme designed by IITD faculty, includes live online sessions & webinars given by top IITD faculty & industry experts, real-world case studies, innovative assignments, short quizzes, a capstone project and an opportunity for in-person weekly office hours with faculty. The module of this programme includes an introduction to human-centred design (HCD), HCD and innovation, identifying user needs, ideation and immersion, agile design and data-driven innovation among others.

On completing all evaluation components of the IIT Delhi Certificate Programme in Design Thinking & Innovation and a capstone project with minimum pass marks in the respective evaluation components, participants will be awarded a completion certificate from the institute. 

Entrepreneurs and business owners will find value in mastering ways to expand their enterprises and create social impact using innovative methods. Consultants will discover how to apply design thinking to enhance their clients' expansion. Moreover, managers from various fields can utilize design thinking to advance product development and solve problems effectively.
