IIT Indore: 10th convocation on August 13, 2022
IIT Indore has invited all students and guests for its 10th convocation on August 13, 2022.
Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Indore is to hold its 10th convocation on August 13, 2022, at the Nalanda auditorium of the institute. The program will be broadcasted live on the official website at iiti.ac.in/live.
The event will commence from 2:30 pm onwards and the institute has released the full schedule of the convocation ceremony. It will start with the welcome and report by the Director followed by an address by the Chief Guest, and more.
The official notification reads, "Full Dress Rehearsal for the 10th Convocation is scheduled on August 13, 2022. The graduating students registered for the award of the Degree during the Convocation must report to the Convocation Venue by 9:00 hours on August 13, 2022, for attending the full dress rehearsal. Students not attending the Full Dress Rehearsal will not be allowed to take part in the Convocation ceremony on 13th August 2022."
IIT Indore has uploaded the list of degree recipients of BTech, MTech, MSc and PhD courses.
All the guests need to carry their identity proof and the security passes issued by IIT Indore along with them for the entire duration of the convocation for safety and security purposes, said the official statement.
About Chief Guest Dr Anil Kakodkar
He is the former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India and the Secretary to the Government of India. He was the Director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay from 1996–2000 and was conferred the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honour, on 26 January 2009.
Dr Kakodkar has worked on the development of the atomic energy programme in India throughout his professional life. The focus of his work has been on the self-reliant development of nuclear reactor systems to address the Indian programme requirements. He was amongst the chosen few involved in the first successful peaceful Nuclear Explosion Experiment that India conducted on May 18, 1974, at Pokhran. He later played a key role in the series of successful nuclear tests conducted in May 1998, again at Pokhran. The comprehensive and robust atomic energy programme under the leadership of Dr Kakodkar has earned India a distinctive status as a country with advanced nuclear technology.
