IIT Jodhpur Announces PhD Admissions

IIT Jodhpur PhD Admission 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur is offering direct admission to its PhD programme for graduating BTech students from NITs starting in July 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for IIT Jodhpur PhD admission by visiting the official website.

The direct PhD programme enables students to earn both an MTech and a PhD upon completion from IIT Jodhpur. NIT students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for early admission to PhD programs at IIT Jodhpur after their fifth semester. They may also have the opportunity to pursue internships during their final two semesters.

What is the eligibility criteria IIT Jodhpur PhD Admissions 2024?

As per the specified eligibility criteria by IIT Jodhpur, those who have ranked within the top 10 of their NIT programme batch will be eligible for PhD admission. Additionally, they must have a minimum CGPA of 8.0 after the seventh semester. PhD programs are available across all departments and academic units at IIT Jodhpur.

About IIT Jodhpur PhD Programme

Through IIT Jodhpur PhD programme, students will gain exposure to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and have access to advanced research and computational facilities. The program includes a focus on patent landscaping and training, and offers one additional year of fellowship post-thesis submission for translational and entrepreneurial initiatives. Participants will receive regular assistantship with potential top-up support of up to Rs 40,000 per month.

There are numerous opportunities for industry-academia collaborations, innovation, and in-house incubation. Additionally, students may receive up to Rs 2 lakh in financial support for presenting research at international conferences.
