IIT Kanpur Hosts Comprehensive Hindi Typing and Word Processing Training
The Rajbhasha Prakostha at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) recently organised an extensive five-day training program focused on Hindi typing and Hindi word processing. This initiative was part of the Hindi Teaching Scheme, which is overseen by the Department of Official Language within the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The training program was conducted under the expert guidance of Prof. Braj Bhushan, who serves as the Deputy Director of IIT Kanpur.
The program aimed to enhance proficiency in Hindi typing and word processing, contributing to the broader objective of promoting the use of Hindi in official and professional contexts. Nawaz Sharif, Assistant Director of the Hindi Teaching Scheme from Mirpur Cantt, Kanpur, conducted the training. The training saw active participation from 28 officers and employees across various departments of the institute, reflecting a strong commitment to enhancing their proficiency in Hindi typing and word processing.
Dr. Ark Verma, Professor-in-charge of the Rajbhasha Prakostha, provided the overall direction for the training program, ensuring that it was in line with the institute's objectives. After the five-day program, the Institute's Registrar, Mr. Vishwa Ranjan, acknowledged the participants' efforts by awarding them certificates. He also encouraged them to utilize their newly acquired skills by incorporating more Hindi into their daily official tasks, thereby contributing to the institute's broader goal of enhancing the use of Hindi within the organization.
