IIT Kanpur placements: Domestic offer hits record INR 1.9 cr

IIT Kanpur placements: As many as 1, 808 students of the institute received job offers at the end of Day 3 from domestic and international employers.  

The IIT Kanpur placement season for the 2022-23 academic year kicked off on a high note on December 1. As many as 1, 808 students have received job offers at the end of Day 3 from domestic and international employers. While there are several packages from international recruiters as well, the highest package offered domestically so far this year is INR 1.9 crore. A total of 74 students received international offers of which 33 are above INR 1 crore.  

This year, the institute has has pulled in top recruiters, including Square Point Capital, SAP Labs, Rakuten Mobile, Boston Consulting Group, Bain and Company, and others. IIT Kanpur Director tweeted, “I am delighted to share that at the end of day 3 of phase 1, 808 students have secured the jobs. The highest domestic package is a record-breaking Rs. 1.9 Crores. 74 students have received international offers and 33 offers are above Rs 1 crore. 

50 students get INR 1 cr package at IIT Delhi 

Placement season at IIT Delhi for the 2022-23 academic year commenced with around 650 full-time job offers and around 550 unique job selections were bagged by students by the end of Day 1 spanning December 1 and 2, 2022. This includes over 250 PPOs. Many students have also bagged multiple placement offers. An increase of 20 per cent in the number of job offers received has been witnessed over last year during the same period.
