IIT Madras Introduces PG Diploma in Metro Rail Tech & Management; Admission via GATE Score

IIT Madras, in collaboration with Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), has invited applications for a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Metro Rail Technology and Management (PGDMRTM). Know details here

IIT Madras PG Diploma Admission: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, through the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), is offering a one-year postgraduate diploma in Metro Rail Technology and Management. The last date to complete IIT Madras PG Diploma registration for the program is June 29. Those meeting the eligibility requirements can complete IIT Madras Metro Rail Technology and Management course registration at careers.chennaimetrorail.org.

Candidates with a BE or BTech degree in civil, electrical, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, or mechanical engineering can apply for the IIT Madras PG diploma in Metro Rail Tech and Management. Also, they must have secured at least 70 per cent marks and a valid GATE score to apply.

IIT Madras PG Diploma in Metro Rail Tech & Management Admission Via GATE Score

Candidates will undergo a provisional selection process for admission to the PG Diploma in Metro Rail Tech & Management course based on their GATE score and performance in an interview. The final selection depends on clearing a medical fitness exam only. Those selected will serve as Executive Trainees throughout the one-year program and will receive a monthly stipend of INR 30,000.

What After the successful completion of IIT Madras PG Diploma in Metro Rail Tech & Management?

Upon successful completion of the course at IIT Madras, all the trainees will be appointed as Assistant Managers on a five-year contract with Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. They will receive a consolidated monthly salary of INR 62,000.
