IIT Mandi Invites Application For Admission to PhD in Chemistry, Check Last Date To Apply

IIT Mandi PhD Admission 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has invited applications for IIT Mandi PhD admission to the School of Chemical Sciences. Interested candidates can fill up the IIT Mandi PhD application form online at the official website: iitmandiadm.samarth.edu.in. The last date to apply for IIT Mandi PhD admission is February 25, 2024. 

While filling up the form, candidates belonging to general, general EWS, OBC, transgender and foreign nationals have to pay INR 200 whereas women, SC/ST are required to pay INR 100. All those meeting the eligibility requirements and selected through application will have to appear for the online interview. 

As per the dates announced, the IIT Mandi PhD admission interview is scheduled to be held on February 28 and 29, 2024. IIT Mandi PhD Admission 2024 in School of Chemical Sciences

Candidates can check the eligibility requirements for IIT Mandi PhD admission provided below: 

• Candidates with a master’s degree in Chemistry obtained not earlier than 2020 are eligible 
• Those with a master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Sciences (all branches) or a relevant discipline can also apply 
• For the general category master’s degree with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWD master’s degree with 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA can only apply
• They must have qualified for at least one national level exam (CSIR-JRF/UGCJRF/NET-LS/ Valid GATE qualification/ DST-INSPIRE or any other equivalent national level exam
• For candidates applying under the self-sponsored category, criteria number 4 will not be applicable 

Exemptions from Requirements of Valid GATE Score for PhD Admission

• Those with B. Tech/B.E./B.S. (or equivalent) degree from CFTI (Centrally Funded Technical Institute)/ any of the top 100 institutes as per NIRF ranking (overall category) at the time of application/ any Himachal Pradesh govt. institution or universities with a CGPA/CPI of at least 7.5 (on a scale of 10) or equivalent
• Candidates with BS-MS/M.Sc. equivalent from IITs, IISERs, IISc, IIMs or any of the top 100 institutes as per NIRF ranking (overall category) at the time of application with a CGPA/CPI of at least 7.5 (on a scale of 10) or equivalent
• NIRF Ranking (within the top 100) should be in the overall category granted for the year during which admission is sought
