IIT Roorkee Celebrates 24th Convocation; 2513 Degrees Awarded to UG, PG, PhD Students
IIT Roorkee 24th convocation witnessed a total of 2,513 degrees allotment to 1,277 Undergraduate, 794 Postgraduate, and 442 PhD students.
IIT Roorkee organised its 24th Convocation to celebrate the achievements and milestones of UG, PG and PhD students at the institute. A total of 2513 Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee students (1931 male and 582 female) received their degrees in diverse domains during the convocation ceremony. Interestingly, a remarkable increase in the number of graduating female students was seen during the IIT Roorkee convocation soaring from 18.84% in 2022 to an impressive 23.16% in 2024.

Achintya Nath, a BTech CSE student, earned the prestigious President's Gold Medal for achieving the highest CGPA among UG students admitted through JEE Advanced. Additionally, Parth Sarthi Mishra, a BTech ECE student, received the Director's Gold Medal for his outstanding all-round performance.

Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 213 to 196 for OBC, 123 to 109 for SC, 60 to 61 for ST, 75 to 70 for EWS, 26 to 28 for PWD.
